Blue morpho on flat-plait

This necklace pendant contains the wing of a common blue morpho butterfly. Common morphos are found in Costa Rica and are very territorial; they can be observed dive-bombing other butterflies and even people if they intrude upon their territory.
It is set on flat-plaited blue satin cord.
This is one of the first necklaces I made. ^^

**No butterflies were harmed in the making of this jewelry; all butterflies lived out the normal span of their lives and died of natural causes.
